The airport is located 3 miles north of Geneva city and accessable to the Swiss sector from the N1 airport motorway. French passengers will have to take the A40 motorway and the joining N1 road to French sector from Ferney-Voltaire, D984 and follow signs for Geneva to avoid Swiss territory. Take the road on the right before Swiss customs for the Airport’s French sector.

Travelling to and from Geneva Airport

Rail : from the airport’s departure and arrivals floor the Geneva railway station is only 300m away and transports passengers to central Geneva Cornavin or the city centre. And from here trains are available to all parts of Switzerland and also Europe.

Taxi : are available from outside airport’s arrivals.

Bus : there is a bus stop outside arrivals and departure area with bus No.10 transports passengers to Geneva city centre and bus No.18 to UN office. Bus stand is also located at the French sector connecting French cities and other European destinations like Portugal, Spain and Eastern Europe. For French Ski stations the AeroSki bus operates directly from the airport to Ski stations.

The information desk in the Swiss sector is located on the arrivals level and at the transit area, call (0)22 717 7105. The French sector has independent services and tourist information offices for both the regions are located in the arrivals area of Swiss and French sector.
