Shopping in Ibiza
It is the solemn duty of every true traveler to treat himself to or spoil herself with a little something kept as a souvenir of a nice holiday. And a nice holiday is what visitors are going to enjoy on the inviting Spanish island of Ibiza whose cosmopolitan market will please all bargain seekers who are looking for something nice to take back home.
Naturally, you can get Ibiza souvenirs at the town’s modern airport either when you arrive or when you leave. Except for the Express Duty free shop you will also find a number of shops to buy any necessary items (there is also a pharmacy should you need it). But be sure not to spend all your euros just yet because there is a large number of lovely little shops and boutiques waiting for you in town.
It should be pointed out that although Ibiza is a highly touristic area, the prices are usually kept reasonable and there are always small and interesting deals to be made if you invest some time. If you are looking for more conventional buys, Ibiza town is full of chic vendors (like The Body shop) selling cosmetics, sunglasses, jewelry and high fashion garments to please your taste. You will also find local art craft or food products such as olive oil or sweets to bring home. Visitors should be reminded that in high season shops in the Old Town market do not close before midnight inviting shoppers to browse through their trade.
The highlight of Ibiza shopping is in the Hippie markets and the trendy Calle De La Virgen area and whether you are interested in shopping or not it is well worth a visit to the wildest fashion markets where young people from all around the world gather to buy something to wear at night.
