About Malaga Airport

Location of the Airport: The Malaga Airport is located 5 miles to the southwest of the city and 3 miles north of Torremolinos; the airport is accessible from the E-15, which leads to the coast. The airport is well signposted and easily reached.

Traveling to & from the Airport:

By Rail: The local train station is located opposite to the terminal 2 and operates to Malaga and Fengirola.

By Bus: Two bus stations located at the Arrivals of Terminal 1 and departures of Terminal 2, tourist shuttle bus operates to Malaga city. Daily bus service to Marbella operates from both the terminal.

By Taxi: Taxi ranks are situated at both the terminals in the arrival and the departures area and are reasonable.

Malaga Airport Terminal Information: There are three terminals in the Malaga Airport. Two terminals, terminal 1 and 2 are internally connected and terminal 3 is near to the other two terminals, which is of walk able distance.

Information Desk: Information desk is provided in both the terminals 1& 2 in the arrivals and the departures. For easy identification of the staff they are given mint green jackets. Airlines have separate information desk in the arrivals and the departures in both the terminals.

Malaga Airport Facilities :

Currency: Banks and ATMs are located in the terminal 2 and the bank provides facility for bureaux de change at the terminal 2 departures lounge.

Refreshments: Number of bars, restaurants, café, and fast food outlets are in the Centro Plaza in the terminal 1. Terminal 2 also has bars and café outlets in its second floor departures.

Shopping: Number of shops are available in the Central Plaza in the terminal 1 and variety of duty free shops including fashion, jewellery, and many other shops are available in the Centro Commercial in the departures of the terminal 2.

Lost & Left Luggage: Lost luggage facility is available in the terminal 1 and there is no left luggage facility at the airport terminal.

Other Facility: First aid service, pharmacy is opened 24 hours in the airport terminal; there is also a travel agency and an exhibition area available in the terminal. The airport has an oratory, which holds mass regularly.

Car parking: Both the terminals are provided with car parking and they offer short-term parking and both covered and outdoor parking is available in the outside terminal 2.

Malaga Airport Disabled Facility : Disabled parking facility is available in the airport terminal, adapted wheel chair, telephones and toilets are provided by the airport for the disabled passengers. Any assistance required by them is also provided by the airport authority for which prior notice should be given while booking their flights.
