Salerno
The city is situated on the gulf backed by a high rock crowned with an ancient castle. In 1419 Salerno passed to the Colonna and later to the Orsini and the Sanseverino before reverting to the kingdom of Naples. Much of the city’s historic interest is derived from its medical school which flourished in the 11 th and the 12 th centuries. The surroundings of the country is well cultivated and a natural harbour promotes the commerce of agricultural products.
Among the attractions one of the attraction is the medical school of Salerno which was famous in the medieval history.The Annunziata San Giorgio church called the picture gallery and S Domenico church where an arm of St. Thomos Aquinas is preserved is famous among the churches in Salerno.
