Siena situated in the very heart of Tuscany, is one of the most appealing towns in Tuscany and Italy’s most appealing regions. Siena has been able to conserve its ancient medievals characteristics integrally. It is rich in works of art and monuments. In subsequent centuries Siena became a prosperous and important medieval town a rival to nearby Florence. Siena has kept alive unusual and renowned traditions because of its cultural and economic stagnancy.
